BLESS A CHILD FOUNDATION These photos show the importance of helping the children focus on having fun while giving them hope with fun things to do. It's a much needed escape from their all too familiar world of fighting cancer.
CANINE COMPANIONS FOR INDEPENDENCE These are our own personal dogs, Sam and Katie. They both passed away in 2006. In loving memory of them, Giving Hope Worldwide has donated to the Canine Companion organization. The photo on the far left is a picture of a trained yellow lab providing assistance to his owner. This picture represents what Canine Companions is all about.
CITIKIDZ Pictured here are some of the staff and teens having fun at camp.
HOPEKIDS These are pictures of HopeKids and families having fun at events.
PAPER HOUSES ACROSS THE BORDER The first picture are some of the kids that live in Acuna, Mexico. These children are just some of the 2000 children that eat lunch every school day at one of our two cafeteria's. The next three pictures show the inside of the cafeteria's and the children enjoying their lunch. Because the food has been provided for the children, the teachers have reported a significant improvement in the children's study skills, alertness, and overall improved health. Both cafeteria's were constructed by Paper Houses with the assistance of Giving Hope Worldwide. The last three photos above show the transformation of an amputee. Her name is Alejandra and is a mother to three children. Before our involvement she was using a stack of plastic cups as a prosthetic leg to help ease her handicap. Although it was somewhat successful, she was in a lot of pain and there was an infection that threatened the total loss of her leg. With the help of Paper Houses and the assistance of Giving Hope Worldwide, doctors were able to surgically clear up the infection and Alejandra was properly fitted with a new prosthetic leg. This is just one of the many medical miracles that we have been privileged to be a part of with the help of Paper Houses Across the Border.
PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER OF MARIN These are some of the many mothers that made the decision to keep their babies after receiving pre-natal counseling and medical care. "You never feel alone, there is always someone to help you through this time in your life."
ROCHELLE MARKS These photo's show some of the great performances of Rochelle. When Rochelle takes the stage, her passion and gift for dance shines through!
ROOM FOR JOY Pictured are some of the "Room for Joy" children that have been blessed with their dream bedrooms. These children are affected by life threatening illnesses. The families of these children are taken away for a fun weekend while the bedroom is transformed into a "dream" bedroom by Room for Joy's creative team of people. The last photo is ten year old "Luz." Giving Hope Worldwide had the privilege to help make her dream come true!
SINGLETON MOMS Pictured are some of the single mom's that have been affected by cancer. Singleton Moms assist with daily chores, bills and transportation to and from medical appointments. They also provide much needed emotional help to ease the stress of being a single parent.
SHARED HOPE These pictures represent so many of the women and children that have been rescued from the bondage of sex trafficking. Because of the hard work and dedication of Shared Hope International, these and many more women and children, are now living in safe homes. The last photo is President and Founder, Linda Smith embracing a mother that was rescued with her baby.
WATOTO The first picture shows one of the 2 million abandoned children on the streets of Kampala, Uganda. Also pictured are some of the 100 babies that have been rescued and are currently being cared for at the first babies home called "Baby Watoto Bulrushes." The next picture is the second babies home called "Watoto Suubi Babies Home." Giving Hope Worldwide had the opportunity to assist Watoto in building this home. This will provide care for another 150 babies. The last picture is one of the five choirs that tour around the world raising public awareness of the devastation of aids and war. The choir also raises financial assistance to help care for the nearly 1800 children currently being raised, nurtured and cared for by Watoto.
